Ballett Kiel under the artistic direction of Yaroslav Ivanenko and Heather Jurgensen is looking for one professional male dancer and one professional female dancer for this season and the following season (2024/25, 2025/26). 

Since taking over the dance company at Theater Kiel in 2011, Yaroslav Ivanenko, together with his partner Heather Jurgensen as co-director and ballet mistress, has focused on building up a versatile, innovative and appealing company that is well versed in classical, neoclassical and contemporary style. The National Dance Company is opening a call for a male dancer to join the 2025 roster.

Candidates must have the functional ability to perform the tasks required. This achievement requires dancers with a strong academic foundation and the skills to apply contemporary dance techniques.

Applicants must be legally eligible to offer their services.

They must be at least 18 years old and not older than 30. A very good technical level in contemporary dance is required.

Foreign candidates who complete the documentation will be notified by the Human Resources Unit and must submit a video featuring the exercises outlined in this notice: a contemporary dance class and a performance of a solo work, lasting between three to five minutes.

ACDC is holding online auditions for Dance Intersect 2025which will take place in both the Netherlands and South Africa. We are seeking for contemporary dancers with strong technical skills, exceptional performance ability, and a willingness to explore new movement styles. Residency Opportunity for South African Dancers

Two South African dancers will be selected for a two-month residency in the Netherlands (May–June 2025), including a performance in Utrecht and Kigali, Rwanda, continuing in South Africa till November.

Additional dancers will be selected for a five-month residency in South Africa (July-November 2025), including performances in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
