Tell us about your dance journey.
My dance journey began in Brazil, where I first encountered ballet and quickly realized my passion for it. From there, I moved to Moscow at a young age to train at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy. It was challenging but incredibly rewarding, and it opened doors to experiences I had only dreamed of.
Tell us about your studies in Moscow.
Studying at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow was intense and transformative. The training was rigorous, but the discipline and technique I developed were invaluable. I was surrounded by dedicated dancers, which pushed me to grow and evolve in ways I hadn't imagined.
Tell us about your experience at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow.
Dancing with the Bolshoi Theater was a dream come true. Being part of such a historic institution was an honor, and I learned so much from the dancers and choreographers there. Performing on that stage was exhilarating—it truly shaped who I am as an artist.
How did you feel when you got promoted to first soloist in Moscow?
It was a huge milestone and an unforgettable moment in my career. I felt a mix of pride and gratitude because it validated all the hard work and sacrifices. It was also a reminder to keep striving and to bring my best to every performance.
From 2022 you are with Staatsballett Berlin, how is it going?
Being with Staatsballett Berlin has been a fantastic experience. The company is full of talented artists, and I feel very supported here. The German dance scene is vibrant and inspiring, and Berlin itself has a unique energy that I love.
What do you think about the German dance scene compared to the Brazilian one?
The German dance scene is more established in terms of funding and opportunities, which allows for more experimental and diverse productions. In Brazil, dance has incredible passion and creativity, but it often faces challenges due to fewer resources. Both scenes have something unique to offer, and I appreciate them for different reasons.
You had the opportunity to dance at Roberto Bolle and Friends. Tell us more about it.
Performing at Roberto Bolle and Friends was a special experience. Being part of a show with such esteemed dancers was inspiring, and the audience was fantastic. Roberto Bolle is an incredible artist and role model, and I felt privileged to share the stage with him.
Do you have a favorite repertoire?
It's hard to pick just one, but I have a special connection with the classical ballets, especially Swan Lake and Giselle. They are timeless and allow for a deep emotional connection with the character, which I love.
How do you keep in shape?
Good sleep, healthy food, and cooking for myself and friends keep me balanced. I also make time for regular massages, which help a lot. Of course, I take class every day and spend many, many hours rehearsing.
Tell us a curiosity about you.
I love exploring different styles of dance. Last month, I tried some tango classes, which was so much fun! It was refreshing to be in an environment where people don’t know you or see you as a ballet dancer, and where others excel in their own field.
What are you doing when you are not working?
When I'm not dancing, I spend time with friends, visit galleries, or go shopping. I travel a lot for work, but I enjoy taking a break when I can. I love escaping to a beach or a far-off place to recharge when my schedule allows.
